Two of my favorite Saturday morning television programs were Far Out Space Nuts and the animated Little Rascals. This portion of my site is dedicated to Patty Maloney, the talented dwarf actress (3 feet 11 inches, 60 pounds) who worked on both of those shows. On 2003 August 01 I received an email from Patty herself: She sent it from AOL screen name Maloney237, but as of 2008 April 15 her address is pmaloney4@cfl.rr.com. I had thought she retired from acting in 1999, but she has been shuttling between California and Florida, and wants to do more animation voice work. Since Patty did not get to be the host of a junior version of Jeopardy! despite her connections to both Merv Griffin and King World, I have created a children’s stunt game show for her.
These pages are done on my own behalf, intended solely to express my admiration for Ms. Maloney, and to encourage respect for little people. The following table shows some of her most memorable television characters. Sorry, I have no audio files to offer for download, but I am interested in video captures from Patty’s movie and television appearances.

It appears quite unlikely that the animated Little Rascals will be shown on television again, due to an ownership conflict: Although Hanna-Barbera (part of Time Warner) produced the series, King World (part of CBS Television Distribution) seems to have transferred ownership of the character likenesses to Hallmark/RHI Entertainment. There is actually some confusion over who owns which of the Our Gang/Little Rascals properties, but my understanding is that Hanna-Barbera and King World worked together on the cartoon series. I would organize a letter-writing campaign to get this cartoon back on television, or at least on DVD, but I have no idea whom to target.
With regard to Far Out Space Nuts, at least one episode has appeared in DVD format on a Krofft compilation disc. I have yet to see an official DVD release of the entire series.
I have begun a gallery of Darla Hood animation images. I would like model sheets, production drawings, cels and especially stills from the cartoons as they were broadcast over ABC. I would gladly consider purchasing these images if they are for sale.
