Powered by Miniclip.com
I have been told that Miniclip designed its games for Windows, but all of the games are playable on Mac OS X Tiger. I hope to have the following soon:
- Browser games featuring my original characters, the Easy Breather and Minerva Walker
- Children’s coloring pages featuring characters from Far Out Space Nuts or the 1982-84 Little Rascals animated TV series
- Printable games, such as word searches, mazes and logic puzzles
Vegard Krog Peterson has on his site a copy of the Patience Pack, a freeware Java applet comprising dozens of games and puzzles. Besides the usual card games, the Patience Pack includes various dice games, a Chutes and Ladders variant with Bible stories, a cryptogram puzzle and Armor of God, a very unusual card game where the computer is your opponent. The Ladybird Run game could easily be played solitaire with a standard piecepack:
- Arrange all 24 piecepack tiles, grid side up, in two rows of 12. This is the track; it should be visualized as having four parallel lanes.
- Set up the track as follows:
- Place the red pawn on the top row, upper left corner of the leftmost tile.
- Place the black pawn on the lower left corner of the same tile as the red pawn.
- Place the green (or yellow) pawn on the bottom row, upper left corner of the leftmost tile.
- Place the blue pawn on the lower left corner of the same tile as the green (or yellow) pawn.
- Take the null coins and place them vertically, suit side up, in the order sun-moon-crown-arms on the right end of the track. If your piecepack contains pawn saucers, they may be used instead of null coins.
- If two or more people are playing, participants may place unused coins off the right edge of the track, suit side up, to indicate which pawn they expect to win the race.
- Roll all four dice at once and move each pawn the appropriate number of spaces to the right. For an ace, move the pawn one space; for a null, do not move the pawn until the next roll. Keep each pawn in its own lane.
- Continue rolling dice and moving pawns until one pawn reaches its corresponding saucer or null coin.
