My 3D Wish List
My 3D Wish List
I would like to obtain, or learn to make in Meshwork, the items listed on this page for use in the Mac OS version of Cinema 4D. I would prefer free items, but will consider purchasing any that are for sale. I have Michael 3 and Victoria 3, but am unlikely to use those figures on my present computer. Unfortunately, Apple has discontinued emulation of Mac OS 9 after switching from PowerPC to Intel processors, so when Content Paradise offered Poser 5 free of charge in early September 2006, I downloaded a copy.
My primary intent is to use the figures and props in scenes with the Easy Breather and Minerva Walker, both of whom live in the fictional city of St. Justin. Another project I have in mind is to illustrate Bible passages with Poser models, as The Brick Testament has done with LEGO® models. Some advisories regarding the “Poser Bible”:
- First and foremost, I intend to be as faithful to the divinely inspired text as limited human knowledge allows. Instead of quoting directly from any English translation of the Bible, I may follow the example of Our Father’s Children.
- I do not plan to illustrate the entire Bible. Rather, I intend to limit myself to the following parts of Scripture: the first 11 chapters of Genesis, Exodus 20, the Gospel of John, Romans, 1 Corinthians 15 and Revelation 21-22.
- The Bible records, but seldom condones, many incidents of sex and violence, especially in the Old Testament. I see no reason to censor depictions of those acts, beyond the use of silhouettes. The difficulty will be in finding a suitable Web host, although I am not photographing live human actors.
- Though many of the ceremonial laws recorded in Exodus and Leviticus do not apply to Christians, they are still a valuable part of Scripture.
Figures & Clothing
- A crop top and miniskirt for the Poser 4 Nude Girl (lost in migration from a G4 PowerPC Mac to Mac mini)
- Winter clothing for Jackie Lewin’s boy and adolescent girl
- Biblical animals: donkey, sheep, camel, etc.
- A jacket with necktie for the Poser 4 Nude Woman (lost in migration from a G4 PowerPC Mac to Mac mini)
- An unbuttonable blouse for the Poser 4 Nude Woman (lost in migration from a G4 PowerPC Mac to Mac mini)
- An unbuttoned shirt for the Poser 4 Nude Man (lost in migration from a G4 PowerPC Mac to Mac mini)
Props
- A bundle of broken tree branches (static prop for background scenery)
- Building exteriors: one-story house, two-story church, three-story courthouse, etc.
- A NEMA electrical connector to attach to the Ajax EasyPose tube, which I have attached to the vacuum cleaner from DAZ3D
- A domino-shaped primitive (image), for the creation of scenes in which Poser people play piecepack games — I made such a prop in Cinema 4D CE Release 6, but have not been successful with texture mapping; with the right texture template, the same basic prop could be used for Scrabble® or mah-jongg
- A piecepack pawn and saucer — I can use resized cylinders for coins and cubes for dice
- A telephone answering machine
